About the Project

The CREATE_AT project investigates how principles of the circular economy can be translated into concrete actions for a more sustainable construction industry, with a focus on timber construction. Through interviews, supply chain mapping, and analyses using game theory and simulation, the aim is to provide policymakers with decision support that helps promote sustainable practices. To develop needs-based solutions, the project identifies the potential benefits and risks that circular economy concepts bring to the construction supply chains—seeking to balance economic efficiency and environmental sustainability as effectively as possible.
