SSCCS
Secure Supply Chains for Critical Systems
About the Project
Networked, complex supply chains are a hallmark of modern economies. Highly interconnected structures are often vulnerable to social engineering—that is, attempts to obtain sensitive information through employees. While large companies often invest significantly in security, their suppliers are frequently smaller businesses lacking the resources to sufficiently secure their systems. These suppliers often become the weak links through which attacks occur. The SSCCS project focuses on investigating the vulnerability of entire supply chains to cyberattacks. Special attention is paid to varying degrees of complexity in supply chains and across different industries. Methods are being developed to identify vulnerabilities and improve the resilience of supply chains.
