Carl Ritter von Ghega Institut for Research in Integrated Mobility
The Carl Ritter von Ghega Institute for Integrated Mobility Research conducts application-oriented research and development, with a particular focus on railway technology and mobility. At the heart of its work lies the institute’s core competence: in-depth knowledge of the railway system. This expertise enables the identification of future challenges and the timely development of appropriate solutions. Although rail transport may appear to be a long-established system, it is continuously evolving and constantly demands innovation, especially at the interface with other modes of transport. Building on this foundation, the institute also addresses issues in the areas of multimodal and sustainable logistics, as well as resilient and circular supply chains.
Key areas include:
- Railway System
- Life Cycles of Technical Systems
- Mobility 4.0.
