Our research and teaching activities focus on the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), aiming to respond to short-term fluctuations in transport demand. We explore the implementation of systems based on data exchange between vehicles, infrastructure, and people through the use of digital technologies—particularly sensor technology and information and communication systems.
A special focus is placed on the integration and use of autonomous vehicles in connected transport systems.
Furthermore, we examine the interaction between the various elements of the connected system, taking into account human behavior and its influence on the overall system.
