Research Institute for Supply Chain Management
The Research Institute for Supply Chain Management (FI SCM) focuses on research questions related to the integration of material, information, and financial flows between various companies that aim to operate as a single unit ("inter-organizational supply chain") to best fulfill consumer demands, as well as the coordination of multiple functional departments within a single company ("intra-organizational supply chain").
To comprehensively address all aspects of SCM, expertise from many academic fields must be combined. Therefore, the institute consists of an interdisciplinary research team that brings together the knowledge of professors from three different faculties, along with additional experts from academia and industry.
