About the Project

The goal of the “IMAMTU” exploratory project is to assess the potential of using electrically powered, autonomous, modular transport units (AMTUs) for integrated freight and passenger mobility in urban and semi-urban areas. A key aspect is to evaluate whether potential changes in mobility behavior would result in positive or negative effects regarding ecological KPIs. Furthermore, the medium- to long-term objective – if the impact assessment proves positive – is to organize a follow-up project aimed at establishing this (then positively assessed) new mobility concept in Austria.
