About the Project

The goal of the research project is to support transport service providers with appropriate methods to react flexibly and adaptively to increasingly dynamic markets and to be able to prepare for the challenges and developments of the Physical Internet at an early stage. The result is a set of methods and tools for transport demand preplanning. By consolidating the developed methods, it is demonstrated how increased data availability and processing ("predictive analytics", "forecasting", "big data") can contribute to sustainable development—ecologically, economically, and socio-culturally—through improved decision-making.
