Small goods mobility 2.0
About the Project
The transport of small goods (parcel freight, luggage, and packages) has increased significantly, particularly due to growing demand from online commerce. Current delivery services are relatively inflexible in addressing customer needs and often inefficient due to repeated delivery attempts.
A future integrated system for autonomous small goods transport aims to significantly reduce overall traffic volumes despite rising transport demand, while also improving personal mobility through the development of a public freight transport system. For instance, individuals could have small goods transported by others instead of driving them by car, thereby creating a form of public freight service operating alongside public passenger transport.
