About the Project

As energy and economic transformation progresses, technological solutions and resilient value creation and supply chains become increasingly important. Austrian companies are highly specialized in global value chains—this position must be safeguarded and further developed. The TRENT project – Technology Scenarios for Energy Transformation – develops scenarios for Austria’s energy supply together with relevant stakeholders, identifies key technologies, and derives infrastructure needs. The goal is to make value creation and supply chains visible, analyze risks and opportunities, and formulate strategic recommendations to position Austrian industry in the European and global context.
